Authorize what matters
When an agent reaches something consequential — spending money, sending on your behalf, touching a system that bites back — it stops and asks. The gate can't be routed around, and an approval can't be forged.
Keep the receipts
Every approval is a signed event in the room's history. When someone asks six months later who authorized a thing, the answer is a fact rather than a recollection.

Most product pages describe a future in the present tense. This one won't. Here is the real state, and it will change as the state changes.

Where your messages live
Angelia is built on Matrix, an open federated protocol. That isn't a technical footnote — it's the reason the next sentence can be true.
You can run the whole thing yourself. Not a reduced community edition: the same program, on your hardware, federating with everyone else. If you'd rather we host it, you get the same software and we'll tell you plainly what our servers can see.
It's AGPL-3.0, which means anyone running it for you owes you its source — including us.
How we check our claims
Before writing code we checked the assumptions the design rested on. One turned out to be false: we'd believed a privacy guarantee held that doesn't hold the way we thought.
We wrote that down, changed the design, reported the underlying issue upstream, and kept the record.
A company that never publishes a correction isn't more careful. It's just quieter.

We'll write when something actually works — not weekly, not with a roadmap graphic. Realistically that's a handful of emails a year.
